Women in Racing
When we were asked to be a sponsor of OKC’s Wheeler Criterium Series the theme Women in Racing was suggested. We gladly jumped at the opportunity and started brainstorming. We wanted to highlight some of the local women immersing themselves in the local crit scene and to tell their stories.
We were tired of seeing the typical lycra and bike shots. Although we’re inspired by bikes and bike culture, we’re inspired by other things too, like self-expression and art and Donna Summer and SheWolves and 50’s counter culture. Over the next couple of weeks, we showcased five local women racing in different categories, in different stages and ages of their lives.

We partnered with some of the most talented women in OKC Metro for hair, makeup and photography to achieve our vision. We had a lot of fun curating each shoot and laughed a lot along the way because “how comfortable and all too rare it is to work with a team composed entirely of women”.
